Goodreads Summary:
It’s the book FALLEN fans have been waiting for: Cam’s story, the brooding, bad-boy dark angel readers love.

High school can be hell.

Cam knows what it’s like to be haunted. He’s spent more time in Hell than any angel ever should. And his freshest Hell is high school, where Lilith, the girl he can’t stop loving, is serving out a punishment for his crimes.

Cam made a bet with Lucifer: he has fifteen days to convince the only girl who really matters to him to love him again. If he succeeds, Lilith will be allowed back into the world, and they can live their lives together. But if he fails…there’s a special place in Hell just for him.

Tick-tock.

Spread your wings and cry as bad boy dark angel Cam finally reveals his anguished heart in the epic new FALLEN novel, UNFORGIVEN.

Review:
Fallen #5 is the story of Cam, the bad-boy that we all grew to love in the Fallen-series. Cam has lost his love Lilith, he thought that she was dead, but she has been in Hell for the last 3000 years. Cam tries to get Lilith back to the real world out of Lucifers grip. All he has to do is win Lilith love back. It seems easy, but Lilith has no memory of Cam what so ever, she only knows that she hates him.

The Plot overall is pretty good. You get another lovestory but this time from Cam's prespective. You want Cam to succeed and to be happy with Lilith.. But then you get into the story. That is were everything is going downhill.

The writing is simply not that great, it feels as if you're reading a childrens book. The words that sometimes are chosen for some events and everything is just annoying.  You thought that you got the story of your favorite bod-boy, but you get the story of his love intrest. That isn't even the worst part.. The worst part is that Cam has become a ripoff of Daniël. He is not the same character as he was in the Fallen series. Lilith you get to know in the book for the first time. She is just such a bitch... No one likes her, which is because it is her 'Hell', but also because she is always mean to people because of all of her anger.

The characters that are introduced in this book are simply plain, there is no depth to them. Sometimes a characters goes through such a chance and it doesn't even make any sense. For example: Lilith hates Cloe King, and the other way around, and later on in the book she comes over to Cloe's house to bring her her homework.. They somehow bond over music and now Cloe sort of has Lilith's back.. It doens't make sense. Also the sudden introduction of Louis in the story. A random character is trown in the mix and they somehow are best friends when they start a band together.

I had loved to get the more background story of some of the characters, but you didn't get them because they were just souls in Lilith her Hell. Lucifer also tries to sabotage Cam and it is really childish. The way he does it and also the way Lilith takes everything without even thinking about it. The how book is about Lilith going back and forth between hating Cam and liking Cam. The think that irritated me most was the sudden love for Cam from Lilith. She sees him one time in a super poor neighboorhood and she loves him. She changes in front of him in the clothingstore and almost kisses him. It simply doesn't make sense.

I think i simply liked the Fallen series because i read them when i was like 14/15 years old.. The 20 years old me isn't a big fan anymore.
I wouldn't recomment this book to anyone who is looking for a cute romanitc story with a twist of paranormal. It is just a childerns book, with bad writing.

2/5 Stars, it could have been better if it was written better..

Love, Hedi
